Depart this morning for a drive to the fields and friendly local villages outside of Siem Reap and continue to the impressive sandstone plateau; Phnom Kulen. The mountain is considered the birthplace of the Khmer empire and a sacred place for the Khmer who come in droves on the weekends. Whilst at Kulen Mountain you will also have the opportunity to visit the River of a Thousand Lingas – hundreds of the Linga carvings can be seen on a stretch of the river.

We can arrange a number of different options for your visit to the mountain, ranging from a very relaxed visit to swim in the waterfalls and enjoy a picnic lunch surrounding by local families, to a much more adventurous trek through the mountain and out to the hidden jungle temple of Beng Mealea.
